Week 15, Post 2: Facebook Analytics Review

After reviewing my weekly insights for Bar K's Facebook page, I did notice some activity. Keep in mind, I have not been very active on there over the past week or two, due to the holidays. I had 2 new page likes, 9 new views, and 3 new page follows. It might be due to this class having to engage with my page, but I find it pretty cool that the page does get at least a little bit of traffic, even when no content has been recently posted.

Week 3, Part 1: Communication - Business & Consumer

The companies that impress me the most are always those with impeccable/fast customer service; ones that go above and beyond to at least try to listen and resolve my issue are the ones that get the real points. I find myself most unhappy when I  am made to feel like an inconvenience, or am unable to communicate with a real person or find the solutions I need in a timely manner.   One example of is Discover, my prior student loan lender. Discover had never impressed me due to long wait times on hold, and difficulty connecting with a customer service representative. I also feel passed around from department to department every time I call, and the customer service was very hollow and impersonal. I have never attempted to connect with them via social media, though perhaps I should have. Week 11, Post 1: Email Marketing

Newsletters can be an important part of engaging people with your business through email marketing. For my business in particular, I think it would be appropriate to send out a monthly newsletter. I feel that weekly newsletters could be annoying for customers, and that is the last thing I want my online presence to be (other than non-existent of course!). However, waiting quarterly or yearly would be too spread out for my newsletters to be effective.  My business would have events happening a few times per month, so a monthly newsletter would be perfect for showcasing them and getting people engaged. This would be particularly perfect for:  - Events (especially during the holiday months like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in particular).  - Deals on memberships or certain drinks etc. - Spotlight featuring a particular non profit for fundraising (possibly a local animal shelter or rescue).  These topics would engage the audience and make them want to come to our ev
