Week 11, Post 1: Email Marketing

Newsletters can be an important part of engaging people with your business through email marketing. For my business in particular, I think it would be appropriate to send out a monthly newsletter. I feel that weekly newsletters could be annoying for customers, and that is the last thing I want my online presence to be (other than non-existent of course!). However, waiting quarterly or yearly would be too spread out for my newsletters to be effective.
My business would have events happening a few times per month, so a monthly newsletter would be perfect for showcasing them and getting people engaged. This would be particularly perfect for:

- Events (especially during the holiday months like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in particular).
- Deals on memberships or certain drinks etc.
- Spotlight featuring a particular non profit for fundraising (possibly a local animal shelter or rescue).

These topics would engage the audience and make them want to come to our events. These newsletters would be geared more towards locals. For non-locals who are still interested in engaging with my business online, there could still be options to learn about/donate for the causes, or take advantage of certain merchandise online.

  1. I love your business idea. Sounds like so much fun to drink some beers with your friends and watch your dogs play and interact with other dogs. I think a monthly newsletter is a good choice for your business. Also like the idea for holiday newsletters, I think Halloween would be a lot of fun at your business.
